About Verona Stables
Verona Stables, or VS as our prefix will be, is one of the newest minibarns in Riata.
It was created and opened by LilyS,
in the spring of 2010 and is located on the grounds of Amanda's Sand Creek Stables in the beautiful state of North Carolina.
We are a topnotch facility that is focusing on racing. Any type of racing is welcome, flatracing, steeplechasing, endurance, even the less popular harness racing will find it's home with us eventually.
Verona Stables will sidetrack eventually in other disciplines and events, and we already are a bit. We have a western speed events horse, Doc, that makes us proud on the barrel racing scene.
We have one broodmare so far, and we will eventually get more as we want to have the best horses possible both in the breeding shed, on the track or in the show arena.
Verona Stables also have plans on getting into the halter circuit eventually, as I (Lily) love this type of showing. To have such a pretty horse, and to have others think it too, that is just icing on the cake.

Calling Bird is a handsome bloke with alot of heart and stamina already. He's just turned 2, but he acts like he's much older. Very well behaved, and he seems to like sprint distances, on dirt, but we'll see later in the spring when he starts racing for real.
